VEGAS, MARCH 23, 2001 – Datanamics, Inc., the primary network provider to
Hilton Hotels, today announced that it is providing System Interface services
to Hiltons that need connectivity from their Hotel’s Internal LAN to the Hilton
Corporate LAN. This service provides a key capability to hotels by allowing all
PC workstations access to mission critical data.
The
business need for a solution to provide access to key systems prompted a
network design solution to satisfy the requirements of both the Hotel and
Hilton. Datanamics solution provides all benefits to both parties:

Full Property Management System (PMS) connectivity for computers that
are not on Hilton’s corporate network.

Full connectivity to data on other Hilton systems such as reservations,
yield management, and others.
·
Virus security on all nodes to keep workstations and servers from
infecting applications.
·
Two-way system security to keep Hilton workstations from accessing
unauthorized devices and data on the Hotel’s local network.
The
System Interface service offering provides ongoing maintenance support
as well. Its guiding principal is based on a design approach that integrates
the various LAN segments, i.e., Management Company and Hilton, while
maintaining operating autonomy and security for each organization.
